Before Thought captures that quiet, suspended moment just before something happens. It is a contemplative space where the horizon invites observation rather than explanation.
Rubén conceives these works as a refuge from daily noise, a pause to listen inward. Light becomes a threshold, announcing what is about to unfold and suggesting that everything will fall into place. The surfaces seem to hold their breath, inviting us to linger and find resolution in silence.

Materials & Techniques
Rubén combines acrylic, oil, spray, and airbrush to build subtle layers and atmospheric effects. He often dilutes the paint into glazes, creating fluid transparencies and unique color transitions. Each layer and gesture has intention, turning technique into a means of expressing a state of mind. His experimentation gives every piece a singular, evolving presence.
